The Mini-Vortex burner, portrayed on the OTT home page, is the smallest we make and is nominally rated at a maximum of 1,000,000 Btuh heat release. The Mini Vortex is normally used in OTT Mobile Facilities. The standard OTT Vortex burner designs are in increments of 10,000,000 Btuh up to 100,00,000 Btuh. See the illustration below for an example of a typical installation. The method of fluid delivery and atomization results in an excellent blended emulsion of all of the streams so that the average properties remain constant allowing for a high degree of control. There are several effective options, to reduce NOx emissions, which can be included in this design of burner. | The sketch to the left is based on an actual 30,000,000 Btuh installation. In this case the Vortex Burner was down fired on to the OTT vibratory hearth. The benefit of this is that the ash from combustion falls on to the hearth and is continuously transported to the ash removal system. |
