The pyrolysis or gasification experience of OTT goes back to 1983 when a patent application for a novel approach to convert used automobile tires into oil and char with the recovery of steel and the conversion of the ash into a vitreous aggregate. US Patent #4,743,341 was granted to Kenneth W. Hladun in 1988. The technology was further developed to process municipal and industrial solid waste. With the integration of other proven technologies, it is now possible to offer a "no waste out" system which produces syngas, hydrogen, methane, steam, electric power, sulfur or sulfuric acid, commercial solid material and a range of chemicals in accordance with need. The gasification process has the adbvantage of reducing the amount of carbon dioxide which is released to the atmosphere. The above process flow diagram is general and is intended to show all the possibilities. If you require further information, please contact Kenneth W. Hladun.
